    IMPORTANT! 2024-2025 Make-up Day Calendar for Students and Staff

     

    • Please do not make any plans for the make-up days listed below, which will be used if schools are closed for inclement weather or other conditions. The first two emergency closing/ inclement weather days are built into the calendar, no make-up days are required. 180 days required for students.

      3 Emergency Closing Days Used – Schools will be open April 14 

      4 Emergency Closing Days Used – Schools will be open April 15

      5 Emergency Closing Days Used – Schools will be open April 16 

      6 Emergency Closing Days Used – Schools will be open April 17

       

      Emergency School Closing / Delayed Opening

       

      • If a decision is made to delay the opening of school, to close for the day, or to cancel after-school and weekend activities, information is rapidly distributed to the school community via these communications channels:

        Website

        A notice is prominently placed in a red background across the top of the homepage, and on each school's website.

        Telephone

        Phone calls are made to families via the Blackboard school-to-home messaging system.

        Social Media

        Information is shared via the Districts's official Facebook page, Instagram profile, and Twitter news feed. Be sure to join these communities by "liking or following." 

        WDMC-TV

        The District's education channel features the news prominently. Find it on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon FiOS Channel 38.

        Local Radio and Television
