The Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community School features a four-story academic building, a one-story community building, and the capacity to accommodate approximately 675 students from Pre-K through 8th grade.

The modern facilities include a high-school regulation basketball court, locker rooms, and other state-of-the-art amenities, providing a well-rounded and enriching learning environment. The school is built as a community school with common areas accessible after school hours, providing spaces for community use such as the cafeteria, kitchen, health clinic, and multipurpose room/gymnasium.

With a focus on sustainability, the school incorporates an all-electric heat pump heating and cooling system, photovoltaic solar panels on the roof, a partial green roof, extensive daylighting, and low-water-use plumbing fixtures. The use of low VOC and recycled materials further underscores the school’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
