Sponsored by the Exchange Club of Yonkers in association with the Yonkers Public Schools, the Fifth Grade Spelling Bee has been a citywide tradition for 55 years, involving thousands of children in classroom and school-wide elimination contests as they move up to the finals.

This year, 80 students from the city's public and non-public schools will compete beginning at 6:45PM, Monday June 3, 2019 and Saunders Trades & Technical High School, 183 Palmer Road.
