New York State administers English Language Arts assessments to provide students, families, and educators credible measures of students’ English Language Arts skills and knowledge.  The Office of State Assessment develops and administers tests that are aligned with the New York State Learning Standards and Core Curriculum, including the Grades 3-8 English Language Arts tests and the Regents Examination in English Language Arts.
