LINCOLN STUDENTS WIN BIG AT REGIONAL NFTE COMPETITION

On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, Lincoln High School Academy of Finance seniors Kenneth Guillont and Jerusalem Estifanos placed first and second respectively at the NFTE (Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship) Regional Business Plan Competition at Westchester Community College.  First place winner Kenneth Guillont will be competing on June 8 at the New York City competition and in October at the National Competition.

Each year, selected students from Westchester area schools compete against each other by presenting an 8 1/2 minute presentation to a panel of judges who rate business ideas on such areas as mission statements, market research, start-up costs, return on sales, projections, and viability. This year, Jerusalem Estifanos placed second with her business "Bagel Avenue" and Kenneth Guillont placed first with his business "Swim Pack." Other Lincoln Academy of Finance students who competed this year were Laura Rodriguez with "Sparkling Spaces," and Joisa Rodas and Mariam Dominguez with "Tie Tastic."

Joanne Martselos, Academy of Finance Director, congratulates all participants for representing Lincoln HS with distinction, and wishes Kenneth good luck as he moves forward.
