You will be completing a character-focused project for your “just right” book this month. You will turn in two parts for this September project:
1. A written paragraph that will be in response to these designated 
questions:
• Who are the main characters in your story? How does the setting 
influence/impact the characters in the story?
• Describe two ways the main character changes from the beginning of the story to the end. 
• What lesson does the reader take away from this story?
Paragraphs can be printed at school, and students may have the 
opportunity to do some work on projects in the classroom.

2. A creative component that will show your creative side.
Choose one of the project options listed below.
Option #1: Create a Character BIO bag for the main character of 
your novel. Find or create 5-items that best represent this 
character from your story. You must include a description of each 
item in detail. 

Option #2: Create trading cards for FOUR of the characters in 
your novel. Make sure to include a thorough description of each 
character on the back of each card.
